CSR (Customer Service Rep) Training Scenario #1: Registering an Individual Account

Preparation
You'll need:

• A legitimate email address with a legitimate password. This address and password will be used in additional training scenarios, so keep it handy.
• A password to use when ordering from medsite.com. This password may or may not be the same as your email password. It's easier to remember if it is. 
• A legitimate mailing address.

Task 1: Browsing to the supply store

1. From your desktop, double-click the Internet Explorer icon. 
2. Expect Internet Explorer to open. {note to anyone reading this in 2020 or after: this manual was written for inner-city CSRs who'd been taking medical supply orders by phone for decades and had never touched PCs in their lives!}
3. In the upper left-hand corner, for the address, type: supplies.medsite.com. Press Enter.

Task 2: Initial Registration (Individual)

1. Click the Registration button.
2. Expect the Supply Store Registration to appear. 
3. Type the individual's email address in the Tell Us Your Email Address text box.
4. Click the Register as an Individual button.
5. From the Affiliation drop-down list (under Register as an Individual). select Medical/Clinical
6. Click the Continue Registration button.
7. Expect the Individual Registration page to be displayed.

Task 3: Enter Personal and Password Information

1. Select Dr. from the Title drop-down list.
2. Type Morris in the First Name text box.
3. Type Finklestein in the Last Name text box. 
4. Type a Medsite Individual account password in the Password text box. This password does not have to match the password for the email address you entered previously.
5. Type your password again the Password Confirmation text box.
6. Select City Where You Were Born in the Password Hint drop-down list.
7. Type New York in the Password Hint Reminder text box.
8. Click the Continue Registering button.
9. Expect the Individual Registration/Continue Registration page to be displayed. 

Task 4: Entering Information about your Individual account

1. Select Physician from the Profession drop-down list.
2. Type Individual account in the Company Name drop-down list.
3. Select Abdominal Radiology from the Specialty drop=down list.
4. Type 1001 Rogers St. in the Address Lin 1 text box.
5. Type Columbia in the City text box.
6. Select Maryland from the State drop-down list.
7. Type 6516 in the Zip text box.
8. Leave UNITED STATES selected in the Country drop-down list.
9. Type 573-875-8700 in the Phone text box.
10. Leave the Yes radio button selected.
11. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Continue Registering button.
12. Expect the Individual Registration/State Medical License page to be displayed. 

Task 5: Entering Rx License Information

1. Type any five-digit number in the Rx License Number text box.
2. Type a license expiration date in the License Expiration Date text box. Use any date greater than today's.
3. Select New Jersey from the State drop-down list.
4. Input other address information if necessary.
5. Click the Continue Registration button.
6. Expect the Welcome to Medsite web page to be displayed.

Task 6: Finalizing Registration

1. Leave all checkboxes blank.
2. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Expect the Medsite Supplies Home page to be displayed.
4. At this point, you've finished registering an Individual account with Medsite Supplies. You should receive a personalized welcome message.

Congratulations. You are ready to order some supplies!
