Here it is,&nbsp;the first song Lory Kohn ever&nbsp;wrote, in The Year of Our Lord 1968:</p>

<p>Now they're finalists for Best Song in New Mexico for "Head and Heart" — <em>37 years later</em>.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The gala awards ceremony is May 20th in Albuquerque. Songwriting contest wins&nbsp;for Lory Kohn and his strangely vibrant milk-mates that&nbsp;far apart would be a remarkable achievement.&nbsp;</p>
